We are committed to work that celebrates the human/pet companion bond. Daisy Mae Delray, a Shetland Sheepdog, who is also my seizure alert dog, wrote for the Del Ray Sun Newspaper and these days is a columnist with the Alexandria Gazette Packet. Daisy writes about the lives of animals living in Alexandria, Virginia and their people.She is also my constant companion.
I am Christina Richardson, a Reiki Master/Teacher and a certified grief counselor. With Reiki I treat my animal clients using the gentle art of energy healing. I offer workshops to owners who want to learn how to do Reiki on their own animals.
Through pet loss and bereavement counseling I help owners through the feelings, thoughts and memories associated with the loss of a beloved pet companion.

Daisy Mae Delray came into my life in May of 2003. Daisy was up for adoption at a Lost Dog and Cat Rescue event. It was love at first sight. Daisy then did a little rescuing of her own. I was having seizures from a head injury. Daisy was able to recognize when a seizure was about to occur and her agitation warned me to take medication. Since that time we have been inseparable companions.

As I was recovering from my head injury I was given Reiki treatments for my seizures. I decided to learn Reiki myself so that I could help others and in 2007 I became a Reiki Master and Teacher. Many of my clients have been animals. Reiki is a form of energy work that is gentle and non-invasive. For animals who are in good health, Reiki helps to keep them there. It is very relaxing to receive a treatment and Reiki enhances the human/animal companion bond through touch. For sick animals, Reiki is a safe complement to other forms of healing. Many Veterinarians have a Reiki practitioner on staff. For dying animals, Reiki is a powerful, gentle way to provide relief from fear, anxiety and pain.so I decided that I wanted to teach the owners how to give Reiki treatments to their own animals.
